On the eve of the Dalai Lama’s 67th birthday anniversary, Taïga presents an exceptional photo essay at the heart of the political centre of Little Tibet. On the sixth of July 2002, Dharamsala will be celebrating the birthday of His Holiness, and important celebrations are expected to take place during the event. The photo story entitled “Land of Exile” by our photographer Patricio Estay, is a work dedicated to the spiritual life of Dharamsala. For five years, Estay accompanied young monks in exile, their daily life and the preparations for the great feast of Losar (Tibetan New Year), with the presence of the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorge.
